My C850 Satellite will not be closed after update Win8.1

I hope I can get help from this forum. Since I've updated my OS from windows 8 for windows 8.1 as my laptop (Toshiba c850) refused to stop, the screen goes blank (power off dark, signaling), but still the power light stays on, had to make a forced turn off many times.

Please help because I'm losing my mind.

Hello

In my opinion, something was wrong during the upgrade.
This is not unusual since I have read in various forums on strange issue after upgrade Windows 8.1.

I recommend you do following:
Set the computer laptop back to factory settings. Recover the laptop Windows 8
Updated 8 Windows to the last State (all updates, patches must be installed)

Then check the windows 8.1 upgrade information page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/ and follow the step by step instructions that contain also the facility of 8.1 and tools Windows drivers in the correct order!

  • C55-A-100 satellite does not power down after update BIOS 1.30

A week ago, the Toshiba software installed on my C55-A-100 Satellite suggested that I installed a new version of the BIOS to 1.3.

Since installing it my Satellite will not turn off.
If I close the lid the screen turns off but the laptop is running, if I open the lid nothing happens and I have to keep my finger on the power button to force it to close.

The same thing happens if I press the power button to turn off, blank screen and it continues to run, then I have to force a shutdown by holding the power button pressed down. I also noticed that the satellite seems to take ages to power.

Can anyone provide a solution or experienced the same problems.

The Satellite is running win 8.1

    Thank you

Please change, as described on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm and try to proceed to a complete stop.
    It work correctly?

Have you noticed this problem just at the moment where you change the options of closing lid and pressing the power button?

  • C850 satellite will not connect at 5 GHz WiFi

My Satellite C850 found network 2.4 GHz Wireless and connected flawlessly. However, it is not 'see' the 5 GHz network, even if the router is in the same room and about 2 meters from the hotel. I have a problem, or in this laptop's wireless adapter will not connect to this speed? Any help appreciated, please

    Hello

I think that the reason why your portable computer does not see the 5 GHz Wlan is simply.
The wireless network card does not seem to bear the 5 GHz.
The WLAN standard 802. 11A supports 5 GHz

If the wireless network adapter supports 802.11 B / G and N or 802.11 G and N, then only 2.4 Ghz are supported.

    Help

By default system Win 8.1 using closing hybrid mode. This allows the laptop to start more quickly. But this isn't a real closed fashion.

So I recommend you to disable the hybrid stop mode just to check if this helps you unravel the power off of the issue.

You mean underscore flashing/blinking in the upper left corner?
It is above all an indicator of malfunction of the HARD drive.

In your case, I recommend contacting the Toshiba authorised service provider because the laptop is 3 months old. In this case the warranty is still valid and you must have it repaired for free.

  • Satellite P50T - USB3.0 question after update Win8.1

I had the bad Win8.1 recent update which gave a blue screen on reboot, but I got it using the restore to an earlier date.
However, since my USBB3.0 ports have been intermittent. One is almost useless, 2 are intermittent and one is partially intermittent.
I reinstalled all the drivers a few times, contributing for a few hours, then it restarts. Help to restart a bit also.

Drivers USB used to be labeled as such, but now seem to be integrated with another. I assumed that they are in the chipset drivers but some say they are now only in Win8.1 itself. Can someone enlighten me on this?

Also the last 1.2 BIOS .exe file downloaded from the Australian site has instructions in Chinese only. It would be nice to have an English version for an English speaking country. I am aware that the changelog does not have USB in the upgrade, then it will probably not help anyway.

USB 3.0 drivers are part of the system Windows 8.1.
Using Win 7, it is necessary to install additional USB 3.0 drivers but since win 8 this isn t the case.

From my point of few reason why don t USB ports work was the recent Blue Screen fault.
The BSOD appears due to serious problems of software or hardware failure.

I'm not quite sure if setting the time system start point would be enough good to get all problems solved I guess where the USB ports are not really defective Toshiba recovery should help solve the problem of m.

Win 10 is not the problem, and my Adobe customer profile indicates that the product is registered. Adobe just doesn't let me activate it. Can you help me?

If you're referring at the origin of Creative Suite (CS1) then this activation server was closed by Adobe a few years ago.

The only way to re - install now is to download a new version without activation for CS2 (also applies to CS1 owners).

Install, then enter the new, without activation serial number provided at this link (column next to the download link). Your existing serial number no longer works.

  • Pavilion dv6-1350us Entertainm: Pavilion dv6-1350 us running Windows 7 will not be closed

Have not used my laptop for the last 45 days and have not installed anything new. W7, 64-bit running. Just used on these days and it will not be closed. When I stopped it just hangs and displays that says: "if it please do not turn off or unplug your machine. Installation of update 1 of 1 ". This can last for hours.

I stop it manually with the power button which of course translates message when I start again that «Windows did not close properly»

I thought that since I had not used the computer laptop or literally turned on for about 45 days, that maybe I was missing a few important Windows updates, but when I go to Windows update via Control Panel and click on Windows Update to search for updates, it "just hangs" it thus, showing never updates available. Last update of the W installed was 26/03/16 and laptop worked OK.

    Any ideas?

I downloaded ccleaner pro (first edition) and scanned the hard drive. I checked 'fix all issues' and it worked! Whatever files or conflicts on the register or wherever was causing the 'hang up' were eliminated obviously that my laptop was able to stop. :-)

  • My Toshiba Satellite will NOT connect to the WiFi in my house of employers, but connects everywhere else I will!

My Toshiba Satellite WILL NOT connect to WiFi in my house of employers, but connects everywhere else I go; I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3, and there a router Linksys WRT16ON. My network card is an Atheros AR5001X + Wireless Network Adapter (and says "this device is working properly". I tried disabling, entering all information, penetrates is not in the news was unchecking the "Enable IEEE 802. 1 x authentication"(and whenever I go in there, he checked again) changed on 'Open' and 'AES' TKIP, WPA (which is) and the password is correct, restart the router, moved the laptop around (the router was in my room, now it is in the thnxt room and it Me REPEAT JUST : 'Validation of identity' and 'impossible to find a certificate to connect to the network'.) I can connect with ethernet, but not with this new situation of the House, do I have the wireless. WHAT ME MISS? I did this for weeks and even now, it says I'm connected, the signal strength is very good, often great, but Explorer cannot display this webpage. Can someone tell me what to do? Thank you!  Allie

Your old Toshiba equipped with an adapter wireless which is likely to be used for Wireless-a, b, wireless and wireless-g (the project).   Your employer has a newer version (not the last and larger, but much more recent than your equipment) router Linksys that is capable of wireless-b, wireless-g and wireless - n.

Your most likely problem is that your employer has set up his router to "N-only.  Wireless n uses the same radio frequency as wireless-g (this is why detect you the "excellent" signal strength), but uses a different protocol (this is why you can't connect).

Politely ask your employer to change the mode 'network' from the back of the default router of "mixed".

The router manual is here: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT160N see p. 13 ' Basic Wireless Settings.

Looking for a certificate message was probably bound to have the box 802.11 x checked.  This box should NOT be checked for home wireless networks.
